We are just a few patriots and veterans who want to do something about what is happening in Atlanta with our legislature. Nearly all of our work is done virtually, reading legislation on the Georgia General Assembly website (CLICK HERE for the official site) and looking for inconsistencies and waste within the proposed legislation. When we discover content or verbiage that isn't consistent with the proposed legislation, we share it with others to raise awareness.
The last legislative session produced over 3,000 bills that had to be assessed and scrutinized. This is obviously a lot of work, but it's something we as concerned citizens can do to let them know we are paying attention.
The General Assembly is not currently in session, so we are watching the study committees that were created during the last session. We seek out information on who is appointed to these committees, such as lawyers and individuals who are not a resident of the state of Georgia, and others who seem out of place as it pertains to that legislation. We often find that the bills presented in the next session are derived from these "study committees".
